China Crisis
China Crisis was an 80s British Band, and one which forged a unique new wave sound that incorporated elements of funk and reggae. China Crisis is best known for their hit singles “Wishful Thinking,” “Black Man Ray” and “Christian” from the 1982 album Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms, Some People Think It’s Fun to Entertain. China Crisis was formed in 1979 by vocalist Gary Daly and keyboardist Eddie Lundon in Kirkby, Liverpool. China Crisis’ music has been featured multiple times in films including Heat and Practical Magic, as well as US TV series such as Grey’s Anatomy. China Crisis went on to record eight studio albums before disbanding but their songs still remain a popular staple of radio stations today, timelessly distinctive yet accessible.
