Ben Folds
Ben Folds is one of the most influential musicians of our generation, and his hire by the National Symphony Orchestra is a testament to the quality of his work. He has a wide-ranging discography that contains both solo albums and those created with Ben Folds Five, as well as several collaborative projects. His last album was a brilliant blend of pop songs and a Concerto for Piano and Orchestra that topped the classical and crossover charts in the US. On top of this, he has performed alongside many of the world’s great symphony orchestras for over 10 years. To enable other talented artists to gain similar exposure, Ben Folds serves as Artistic Advisor to the NSO at the Kennedy Center where he curates “Declassified: Ben Folds Presents”, a concert series dedicated to showcasing emerging talent onstage with an orchestra.
An outspoken champion for arts education and music therapy funding in our nation’s public schools, has served for over five years as an active member of the distinguished Artist Committee of Americans For The Arts (AFTA), and serves on the Board of AFTA’s Arts Action Fund. He also served as Chairman of the Arts Action Fund’s ArtsVote2020 national initiative that encouraged voter engagement in the 2020 US elections, and continually advocates for improving public policies for the arts and arts education.
Contemporary Booking has recently worked with Ben Folds for a live concert for Foundation Fighting Blindness.
